What is HDRI book visualisation?

HDRI (high dynamic range imaging) environments capture real-world light. Used in 3D rendering, they make objects look as though they were photographed in a real room. Portfolia lights your book with these environments in the browser, so your printed design can be previewed as a believable physical object before or instead of a photo shoot. It shows your PDF exactly as designed; it does not create a 3D model of a printed binding or validate print-ready files. Personal includes downloadable HD flip-through videos and still photographs from the Photo shoot, a 3D book mockup generator.

Who it is for

Self-published authors previewing a novel or photo book, designers presenting editorial layouts, students showing a printed portfolio, and brands sharing a lookbook or catalogue. Anyone with a book PDF can present it as an object rather than a flat document.

No. Upload a PDF and the lighting and page turns run in the visitor's browser.
Can I choose the lighting?
Yes. You choose the HDRI environment, brightness and paper finish; visitors see exactly what you picked.
Can visitors switch to a flat view?
Only if you allow it. You decide which reading styles and looks are offered on your link.
How large can my PDF be?
Up to 30 MB on Free, or up to 100 MB per portfolio on Personal. You can preview larger files first, and the upload box can make a smaller web copy.
