Visitors read in the browser. Turn on downloading if you want them to save the original file.

Hosting a PDF for your website

Many website builders link PDFs as plain downloads. Embed the Portfolia viewer instead so visitors read on the page; see the Squarespace, Wix and Notion embedding guides. Cancelling Personal never deletes your files.

How files are stored

Files are kept in private storage tied to your account and served through short-lived signed links. Drafts are never public.

Before you share

Check the file size before uploading.
Name the PDF clearly; it shows as the title.
Choose whether downloads are allowed.
Embed it on your site if you have one.

Check your PDF locally before uploading, or explore our website embedding guide.
